Central Virginia Community College (CVCC) is the largest community college system in Central Virginia and the Lynchburg region’s primary driver of work-based learning. Thousands of young adults and career-pivoters strengthen skills tailored to the evolving demands of the modern workplace at CVCC, leading to real job prospects with employers.

CVCC offers fast-track certifications in healthcare, skilled trades and professional services. Even better news? Students qualifying for the state’s G3 (Get Skilled, Get a Job, Get Ahead) initiative can receive funding for coursework in high-demand fields like Early Childhood Education, IT, Public Safety and the trades for up to three academic years.

Many of the Lynchburg region’s colleges and higher education institutions also offer work-based learning programs for students, including Liberty University.
