About Us

The Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance is a public-private partnership serving as both the chamber of commerce and the lead economic development organization for the Lynchburg region. We’re a 900+ member organization comprising regional business leaders, government relations specialists, and workforce development professionals across our five localities — Bedford, Campbell, Amherst and Appomattox counties and the City of Lynchburg.

Our work is grounded in the belief that when businesses succeed, communities thrive. Over the decade from 2015-2025, the Alliance helped create 4,069 jobs in the Lynchburg region. We’re not just promoting the area — we’re actively building the ecosystem that makes your career move here a smart one.

While the Alliance doesn’t place individuals directly into jobs, our partnership with dozens of workforce development organizations, local schools like Liberty University and Central Virginia Community College, and regional businesses has allowed us to build a robust network designed to identify employer needs and facilitate connections with jobseekers.

These partnerships connect you to resources like Virginia Career Works Central Region for job training and placement, employer-sponsored apprenticeships, industry-specific credential programs, and direct hiring events hosted by regional companies. Our member businesses regularly share openings and workforce needs with these partner organizations, creating a pipeline from training to employment.

Additionally, Alliance-led initiatives such as Worlds of Opportunity, Young Professionals of Central Virginia and the Educator Workforce Academy make it easy to build connections and get facetime with regional business leaders.

Over the past decade, more than 4,000 jobs have been created through the work of the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance. While we work behind the scenes to attract employers and build opportunities, our partners are your front-line resource for making those connections real. We’re here to point you in the right direction.

We’d be happy to connect you to regional resources for your job search, including career fairs like World of Opportunity, career services organizations, and work-based learning programs. We can also point you toward relocation services and regional realtors who know the area well, plus help you get involved in our local Young Professionals of Central Virginia networking group, which currently has over 200 active members.
