Your Partner in Student Success

Building the future is a team effort. The Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance is here to help regional educators grow professionally and guide students to improved career opportunities.

LRBA works closely with its regional business and workforce development partners, setting strategic goals for real careers. By hosting educator events that provide updates on hiring trends and advocacy for wrap-around services that facilitate childcare access and improve regional career pathways, the Lynchburg region provides the necessary tools for student success.

Prior to ever setting foot in the workforce, tomorrow’s talent wants to know what options are out there. Worlds of Opportunity Career Expo helps middle and high school students discover the many career possibilities in the Lynchburg region.

Hosted annually by the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance in partnership with Virginia Career Works – Central Region, the Worlds of Opportunity Career Expo is one of the most impactful talent pipeline events in Central Virginia.

Over two days, thousands of middle and high school students from across the region gather under one roof to explore the careers and industries that are actively hiring right here at home. The Expo is organized into four industry zones spanning everything from manufacturing, engineering, and healthcare to financial services, technology, and construction.

Regional schools that participate in Worlds of Opportunity help open the eyes of students to new career interests with local employers. Educators can incorporate these interests into lesson plans — engaging students directly in their career paths.
